What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I have been working with Jaguar Land Rover for more than a year now across various global teams namely Systems & Data transformation, Customer Experience, Customer Journey & E-Commerce.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
I have always been passionate about the automobile industry, Jaguar Land Rover is one of the best employers in the UK that provide ample opportunities for people to explore what they like and build a long term career in the company. Hence when the opportunity popped up, I was elated to take it.
Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?
Was part of iKeep Exeter and the pathway program.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
I really enjoyed working the Current Issues in International Business module. We had some amazing guest lectures that covered a unique set of topics. It really encouraged me to think differently and connect the learnings to my personal experiences.
What did you most enjoy about studying here?
The city is perfect for students. The environment is amazing and really fosters deep thinking. I cannot think of a better city to study in, very quaint yet alive at the same time. The 10 months that I stayed there were some of my best times in the UK.
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
I really liked the flexibility the course offered me. I was able to tailor it to my likes and preferences, this helped me demonstrate transferable skills when I was applying for jobs. I also have the utmost respect for all the professors that teach us in Exeter, they were extremely kind and generous with their time whenever I reached out to them.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
The fact that I was an international student that was able to adapt to change and be ready for different challenges really helped me in my career as well.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
“Be open to learning new things, try and upskill as much as possible including learning new languages as that will really help you navigate in the European market. Also look to obtain the width of knowledge rather than just focusing on the depth.”
What are your plans for the future?
I wish to live in the UK and build a long term career in Jaguar Land Rover.
