After finishing my Masters, I firstly joined  Uniserve group in UK  (almost Billion Pound Revenue company) as Approvals Operator; within 3 months promoted into Sales as Customer Relations Manager, where I worked for almost 2 year.  After that I came back to my Family Business where currently working as an International Business Development Manager

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I choose freight forwarding as it really feels home. Privileged enough  to have Family business in this.  I get easily bored with mundane stuff , here in International Business every shipment is new and comes with new challenges . My father to this day says I haven’t faced this before even after being in the industry for more than 30 years .  This gives me immense satisfaction that I will learn something new everyday in this industry, being so dynamic , it gives peak into everything that is going on around the globe you will see it effects in your business.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I co-founded the Indian society in University partnering with INSA , Indian National student Association , since I was there during COVID and being a MSC I passed on the baton to Bachelor students

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

My peers , Professors and lovely Campus ,I still miss the campus where we have so many memories

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

Exeter is an emotion ,the city so beautiful it all for students , Exeter has that vibe which makes you miss after you graduate . It will give so many memories be it with your friends , professors on Campus, off campus city centre , the Quayside.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

Obviously my checklist priority was my programme , it had everything which I was looking for in future for international business , all modules and syllabus dedicated to prepare me for that.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Skill of making the other person comfortable to discuss things they are insecure about .

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

I would like stress more upon the group assignments, they are an excellent learning opportunity, as majority of us would be working in organisation where we have to work in teams and coordinate within the organisation with the employees that teaches you a lot about how provide suggestions or voice opinions etc among your colleagues.

What are your plans for the future?

We are planning to expand more in Logistics just having attended the World Cargo Alliance conference we are excited to partner with more agents around the world globe establishing our Brand

After doing Green Consultant training and working for a local business as part of Green Consultant, I decided to work within sustainability. The green consultant training and my academic modules made me think the importance of sustainability in construction sector. Luckily, I began to work full time for a demolition contractor as sustainability manager, for a Microsoft data centre. I then joined Buro Happold as sustainability consultant and working on sustainability certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, HQM etc.
