What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
It took me a while to land a job that fit, but I’ve been happily employed at ClimatePartner UK since graduating.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
I knew I wanted to work in sustainability, to try and use my working hours to do something impactful, for the good of the planet. I love the people I work with, I enjoy learning and being challenged everyday in my role, and I enjoy getting to assist and influence businesses to set net zero goals and decarbonise.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
The friends I made, learning about how the world worked in a business sense, and broadening my horizons.
What did you enjoy most about studying here?
Exeter is beautiful. 1 hour bike ride down to the coast, half hour drive to hiking in the Moors, a gorgeous countryside in Devon and Cornwall to explore, I couldn’t get enough!
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
I wanted to find an MBA program with the greatest focus on Sustainability, The Exeter MBA was that program. When I joined, there was a female-lead faculty and some professors I really respected. The program fully met and sometimes exceeded my expectations.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
Being a quick learner, building confidence in my abilities to upskill and trusting my techincal knowledge.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
If you can, find a company that will help train and upskill you. I honestly never thought I would be a carbon accountant, and yet here I am and really enjoying it!
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to stay at ClimatePartner and keep making contributions to a net zero world.
