What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I have joined a few multinational market research agencies, retail industry giant and then a couple of government jobs. Currently, I am an Assistant Manager at the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Hong Kong Metropolitan University, overseeing various matters including research administration, academic seminars and payments.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

Education is an industry that’s recilient and somewhere the HK government is investing time and resources into. As for my work, it is incredibly diverse, interesting and lets me learn a lot every single day. Colleagues and supervisors are nice, too!

Were you part of the Exeter Student Ambassador Scheme at any point during your studies?

Yes

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

Diverse learning experiences, a lot of free/paid experiments, and very nice tutors and lecturers as well. Definitely loved the Lundy Island trip!

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

Good resources, good hardware and the university has great reputation.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

Good reputation, nice town and very nice campus. 

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Communication skills, overseas study experience, field trip, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills. The Exeter Award and Exeter Leaders Award schemes helped!

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Be open-minded, be curious and be positive. Leverage your resources around you, and also be critical.

What are your plans for the future?

Embrace whatever out there – hopefully more financially literate, more career literate and contribute more to the society, my company and also the community.
