I’ve been a Civil Servant working across the broadest range of postings. This has included overseeing 5 bills to Royal Assent and enabling thousands of regulations that impact everyone every day to become law as a Senior Desk Officer in the Parliamentary Business and Legislation Secretariat. I’ve recently joined the Department of Work and Pensions, where I work on disability employment support.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

Making a difference every day. Sometimes it’s the little things, other days big things but always making a difference.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

I absolutely loved writing my dissertation and studying public policy with Dr Sarah Cooper and Professor Claire Dunlop.

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

The variety of modules and the fantastic academic and social offer.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

I love the West Country and really wanted to study at a campus university. Coupled with a fantastic programme, I made the right choice.

The ability to weigh up opportunities, challenges and evidence to come to the best conclusion.
