Eden Trevis Scott
Current Employer/Organisation Name
Eleventh Hour Films
What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I have been working in TV and Film, firstly on a freelance basis, then I worked as an assistant at Talent Agency (Independent Talent), then moved into a Production Company which is where I am now.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
It’s very creative – I knew I couldn’t do something that wasn’t, and something that I didn’t genuinely enjoy. I’m really lucky that I get to employ my skills in a really fulfilling way, creatively, every day.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
I can’t remember the module but we studies Jaws and Kramer vs Kramer in the same week; great discussions of both of those films made me really appreciate proper screenwriting.
What did you most enjoy about studying here?
The environment. It was a really calm and easy place to learn and grow.
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
The location, and the offerings on the course.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
A basic understanding of scripts really came in handy. Not just how to write them (that’s useful too for understanding them) but how to read them properly, and translate then, and understanding how something goes from page to screen.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
Don’t discount the smaller, less exciting jobs at the start of your career. Anyone you meet could be a step closer to where you want to be. Network is REALLY important – make lots of friends in your desired field and keep them.
What are your plans for the future?
Running my own TV and Film Production Company.
