What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I worked in theatre production, and then in Live Arts/Entertainment PR and now I work as part of the Marketing and New Business Team at GOOD Agency, a purpose driven creative agency. I lead the PR and Comms function at GOOD, increasing the agency’s reputation and profile as well as working across select clients.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was part of EUTCO, Theatre With Teeth and Creative Futures.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

The variety and breadth of the course, the time and space to explore different areas of interest. My highlight was how interesting I found my third year modules and the teaching.

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

That I could do my degree and have the time to do EUTCO and other activities too. I produced the Northcott Show, worked on campus and had a great time exploring Exeter and Devon.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

The degree and that it was a campus university.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Writing and communication. And speed reading!

A high percentage of my day-to-day job across my career has been writing, pitching, and communicating to clients, journalists and team mates, and that’s a skill I honed at Exeter.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Get as much experience outside of your degree as you can. Write a blog, volunteer, join relevant uni societies and apply for as many relevant holiday or part time jobs as you can.

What are your plans for the future?

Hopefully progressing in my career to Director level.
