What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

After leaving Exeter in September 2024, I moved to London. I currently work as a Project Officer for London Sport, a charity working to make physical activity more accessible across the city, particularly in the more deprived areas.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I chose this career because I am interested in the use of physical activity in the prevention & treatment of ill-health. I believe everyone should have the opportunities to be active, no matter who they are or where they live. What I enjoy most about my current role is being able to work on such a wide range of projects across the city.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

Whilst at university, I represented Exeter at BUCS for Swimming, Triathlon, Athletics & Waterpolo. I was also a member of Open Water Swim & Taylor Swift Soc.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

During my undergrad, I really enjoyed the opportunity to do a year study abroad- I spent the year studying in Melbourne (& travelling Australia & New Zealand!).  During my masters, one of my highlights was presenting at the European College of Sport Science conference in Paris.

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

Going for BBQs on the beach after a day at uni!.

Following some travel and playing rugby abroad, I completed a placement at the English Institute of Sport as an assistant coach preparing athletes for the 2012 Olympics.  Following this, I opened my own sports performance company, Southern Academy of Sport Ltd. We help athletes, teams and organisations upgrade their performance through strength and conditioning, sports science, athlete education and rehabilitation services.
