What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I’m currently working in Exeter as Data Management Assistant including marketing at EAD Ecology.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
I love to work where I can use both my technical and nontechnical skills. I found the job which takes me to either a data/business analyst position.
Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?
No, but I actively participated in most of the university events, activities. I wrote blogs and did photoshoots in my tenure as well.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
Working with real clients in last semester which improved my way of thinking with different mindsets.
What did you most enjoy about studying here?
Obviously location and activities to develop personally and for networking.
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
Placement rates, the fact it’s a Russell Group university and because I had a scholarship.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
I understood ways of communication are different from place to place which helped me to think outside the box. I came alone, doing everything on my own from scratch without the help of any agency and after I arrived here, I learnt every tiny thing by myself which made me confident to live. My mental health and physical health also developed a lot alongside my soft skills like communication, networking, management skills.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
Honestly it depends on many factors. Mentally, physically, financially – make sure you can do it. As long as you are working on it in the way it needs it will work out.
What are your plans for the future?
Getting a sponsorship job to build a future in UK.
