What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I went back to Hong Kong and working as a sales Executive in a Service apartment, and then become a operation supervisor in a Fitness Center for almost 3 years. Then I went to Madagascar, working in a shopping center which is owned by my auntie. One year later, I tried to start my own business by open a shop selling phone accessories. In 2018, i opened another company, tour operator in Madagascar, provide tours to foreigners who come to visit Madagascar.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
It is easier to start a business in Madagascar than in Hong Kong, and tourism is what I studied in Exeter, that’s why i would like to work in this field. I feel satisfied when I get positive feedback from my clients..
Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?
Hong Kong society, Athletics Club, Basketball Club.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
We were a class with students come from different countries, except getting knowledge from the programme itself, we can learn the culture from different countries, especially when we have group project or group discussion.
What did you enjoy most about studying here?
The members and coach from athletics club are very friendly, not only I have improve my English speaking, but also I learned some local culture.
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
Because it is one of the high ranking university which provide tourism programme.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
Communication skills. Since my previous working experience include.
What are your plans for the future?
It depends on the business of the tour operator, if it runs well, I may try to extend my business to other countries, UK will be one of my choice.
