What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

Joined the Environment Agency with a full-time job as an Assistant Scientist after I graduated to gain experience working in a lab. Took a few months off work to travel the East Coast of Australia last year with my best friend.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I have always loved science and graduated from Exeter University in 2023 with a BSc Medical Sciences (Human Genomics). I knew I wanted to work in a lab, and I care about the environment so when I saw they were advertising, I had to apply.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

BUCS Netball.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

I live locally and love the city. I heard Exeter had great Medical/Science programmes available.

What are your plans for the future?

I wish to progress within the Environment Agency, I am going to carry on my studies to become HPCP accredited so I can work in a hospital lab.
