What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I spent my first two years as a graduate consultant at PwC, and the following two as an energy transition consultant with S&P Global.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
I focused my studies at Exeter on sustainability. The generalist background has provided a strong background for my roles in consulting and moving into energy consulting further utilized my specialization.
Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?
I was part of Exeter University Rowing Club.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
The flexibility of course selection was fantastic, and I most enjoyed my time spent in labs practicing the theory.
What did you most enjoy about studying here?
I enjoyed the camaraderie with other students in the challenge of learning new concepts.
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
Welcoming people, a warm and modern campus, a balance of campus and city university, and the sports culture.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
Adaptability has been the most beneficial skill I gained.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
Consider your professional opportunities as early as possible, you don’t have to continue down a path you try but learning about the professional world first hand through internships provides more value than any amount of studying can provide for your awareness of what you enjoy.
What are your plans for the future?
Continue to progress and gain new skills.
