What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I played football for the Indian National team before becoming a personal trainer at one of the country’s premium personal training studios. I am also one of 4 Nike certified personal trainers in India.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

It is an active job, I get to train people and help them become healthier/change lives. I also get to stay fit myself and use my experience to help others.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

I loved the programme modules, my professors and the campus. I loved how hands on my professors were and how passionate they were about their field.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was a players in the Exeter University ladies football club and won player of the season the year I was there.

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

Everything. I really enjoyed my course and found it extremely interesting and well taught.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

The location, foreign student reviews and the great reputation for sport.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Research. I think learning the tools to find our own answers was what helped me the most.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

It’s a great upcoming line of work. More and more people want and need to be healthy and fit and they need the right informed guidance.

What are your plans for the future?

I would like to continue to help more women begin their fitness journey. In India women are still very sceptical about exercise and I want to work towards changing that outlook. I’d also love to work with young athletes at some point.
