What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I am now part of the Global Marketing team at Nagarro, a leading digital engineering company, where I work on large-scale events, go-to-market strategy, brand storytelling, and strategic communications. Recently, I’ve also had the chance to represent our work in Japan and other international markets, which has been both professionally and personally rewarding.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of storytelling and strategy, and marketing felt like a natural way to bring those two together. During my time at Exeter, I discovered how much I enjoyed communicating ideas, connecting with people, and shaping narratives that make an impact, which led me to pursue a career in marketing.
What I enjoy most about my work now is the variety and the global exposure. Every project allows me to collaborate with diverse teams, learn about new industries, and find creative ways to share ideas with the world. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how the work we do can influence perceptions, build trust, and open opportunities for organisations.
What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?
What I enjoyed most about my programme was the incredible support and inspiration from my professors. Their passion for their subjects and willingness to guide us made the learning experience both engaging and memorable. I also deeply appreciated the friendships I built along the way — being in a new country, those bonds made all the difference and turned Exeter into a home away from home.
The biggest highlight for me was that combination: learning from inspiring faculty while creating lifelong memories with friends. It gave me not just an academic foundation, but also a network of people and experiences that continue to shape me today.
What did you most enjoy about studying here?
What I enjoyed most about studying at Exeter was the blend of academic rigor and personal growth. The campus had such a welcoming environment, a place where I could both challenge myself intellectually and feel supported in the process. I loved learning from professors who were deeply passionate about their subjects, and equally, I cherished the friendships I built with peers from around the world.
Being in a new country made the experience even more special, every day felt like an opportunity to learn, not just in the classroom but through the culture, people, and community around me. It was truly a formative time that I look back on with a lot of fondness.
Why did you choose to study at Exeter?
I chose Exeter because it offered the perfect combination of environment, people, and academics. The beautiful countryside setting created such an inspiring place to live and study, while the legacy and reputation of the professors gave me confidence that I’d be learning from some of the best. What truly set Exeter apart, though, was the uniqueness of the courses, they felt carefully designed to balance theory with real life application, and that made the decision an easy one for me.
What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?
One of the most valuable skills I gained at Exeter was a deeper understanding of leadership — not just in theory, but in how to apply it in real-world situations. I also had the chance to explore new concepts such as the circular economy, which broadened the way I think about business, sustainability, and innovation. Beyond the classroom, building friendships with peers from across the globe was equally impactful. Those relationships gave me a wider perspective, cultural awareness, and a global network that continues to be invaluable in my career today.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
Stay curious and open to learning, marketing and technology are fast-evolving fields, and the ability to adapt will set you apart. Don’t be afraid to start small or take on roles that give you broad exposure; every experience teaches you something valuable. At the same time, focus on building strong relationships, your network of peers, mentors, and colleagues will often open doors and provide perspectives you can’t find in books.
Most importantly, bring your authentic voice into your work. Storytelling and creativity are most powerful when they feel genuine, and that’s what makes a lasting impact in this field.
What are your plans for the future?
I’d like to continue growing in global marketing, taking on opportunities that allow me to work across cultures and industries. I’m especially keen to keep exploring the intersection of technology, sustainability, and marketing, areas I believe will shape the future of business and society.
At the same time, I want to give back by mentoring students and young professionals, just as others have guided me. Wherever my career takes me, my aim is to keep learning, keep growing, and make a meaningful impact along the way.
