What did you enjoy most about your degree programme?
What I love most are the exchange activities organized by the school. Every time a holiday comes around, our teachers and the school arrange a variety of events for students. These activities provide a great opportunity to bond with classmates and share our thoughts with teachers in a more personal way. It is these moments that have enriched my study abroad experience, making it feel warm and fulfilling.
What was the highlight of your time at Exeter?
I think the highlight of my time at Exeter has been lying on the grass on campus. The environment here is truly amazing. Every time I finished struggling with essays and assignments, lying on the warm grass under the sun made everything feel so much better.
What will you miss the most about University?
What I will miss the most is definitely the University’s Christmas party. It was the first time I truly experienced a traditional Christmas celebration. At the party, I also met teachers and students from other departments, and we became great friends. It was an event that brought people closer together, and in the years to come, I know I will look back on it as one of the most precious days of my time studying abroad.
What advice would you give to current and future students? (If you are an international student what would you like to tell future students from back home who might be thinking about applying to study in Exeter?)
I highly recommend studying at Exeter! As a university, it embraces an inclusive, open, and supportive approach, making every student feel truly welcomed. Each professor has their own unique charm, which I found incredibly inspiring.
From daily essentials like food, housing, and transportation to cultural and personal support, the university has comprehensive policies and resources in place. For example, if you’re an international student looking for job opportunities in the UK but don’t know where to start, Exeter offers career planning courses and a dedicated careers team where you can seek free guidance from professionals. Additionally, there are extensive language support services, including free workshops on academic writing, speaking skills, and dissertation guidance.
My advice to future students is to actively explore the university’s website and official social media accounts to stay updated on events and opportunities. Exeter provides a vibrant and enriching student experience, and for me, this year has been the happiest time of my academic journey!
What are your plans now that you have graduated?
My plan is to become a successful and capable person. My dream is to use my own abilities to earn a lot of money and one day give back to my alma mater.
Right now, I’m focusing on developing a career in cross-cultural business and social media influencing because I find these fields fascinating. This kind of work is highly dynamic and requires creativity, public relations skills, and many other competencies—all of which I truly enjoy. This will likely be my main goal for the next five years.
