The green consultant training and my academic modules made me think the importance of sustainability in construction sector. Luckily, I began to work full time for a demolition contractor as sustainability manager, for a Microsoft data centre. I then joined Buro Happold as sustainability consultant and working on sustainability certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, HQM etc.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Start working towards your aim early enough and there are multiple options available in the university to gain UL work experience. Employer don’t want to see your academic grades, they gwt more impressed by the way you have utilized your time along with education
