Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I have always been very interested in clinical psychology and working with children. I most enjoy supporting the clinical psychologists to deliver support to staff and children and seeing the difference it makes.

I was a part of the netball and psychology society

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

I really liked the campus and the course.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Doing a placement year gave me experience for my CV and to talk about in interviews. Also doing courses at Exeter on soft skills helped in interviews. Also the content I learnt has given me a foundation of knowledge I can apply in my job.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

The more experience you can gain the better even if it’s not directly relevant.

What are your plans for the future?

To get onto the doctorate and qualify as a clinical psychologist
