Not necessarily a planned choice! I enjoyed the university and research system, and wanted to stay in it to develop my research project. Applied for the funding and was – thankfully – accepted. Loved it since. Enjoy all parts: teaching, independent research, community etc. Specifically enjoy the time and space I am given to develop myself, both in context of the research and more generally

Rugby League, Beats & Bass

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

The widespread applicability of Geography – you can do what you want!

Social scene, sport and community.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

Great geography reputation, lovely city, fantastic facilities.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Get planning as soon as possible – there are tonnes of funding opportunities available! Make sure to talk with you tutors/supervisors to develop a project and get some good advice.
