What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

William is an Interim Strategic Property Manager at the London Borough of Waltham Forest. He is responsible for advising on strategic property asset management, technology and data on the council’s commercial property. Previously as a contractor he has advised two other London Boroughs on Proptech and digitization. With a career in real estate spanning 15 years mainly as a contractor, William is a Property Asset Management Surveyor, Project Manager, PropTech Advisor and mentor. Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

Real estate combines both my interest in Geography and Business. The ability to work outside and to embrace new technologies.

Hockey Club.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Do a real estate undergraduate or masters degree full time.

What are your plans for the future?

To get on the board of a company and innovate the real estate space with new technologies to disrupt old ways of working.
