What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

After graduation, I came to Shanghai International Currency Brokerage to work as a broker of interest rate derivatives.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

It is one of the five brokerage companies licensed for the currency brokerage business in China. Its shareholder is the China Foreign Exchange Trading Center. Due to the particularity of its work, the broker has dual attributes of sales and traders. As the first job to join the company is Very good learning and growth platform.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

During my master’s degree, I participated in the Chinese Culture Club, Tennis Club, and Running Club.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

I like the part of some group work in our course the most. We can divide the labor and cooperate to complete a project, which not only cultivates our cooperation ability, but also allows us to apply what we have learned, laying a solid foundation for subsequent work.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

The school has a beautiful garden-like campus.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

The main reason for choosing Exeter is because the school has excellent teacher resources and reasonable curriculum. Our courses are highly overlapped with CFA courses, which are very reasonable and rigorous, while taking into account knowledge and practicality.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Research ability and teamwork ability will be more important, and some practical training in career zone and courses will be of great help to interviews and jobs.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Study hard, improve yourself in all aspects, improve your English, mathematics, and computer application skills, prepare knowledge reserves, and meet career challenges with confidence.

What are your plans for the future?

In the future, I hope to continue to grow as a broker and accumulate knowledge and experience. I hope that one day I can become an excellent trader. If I am lucky, I hope to grow into a qualified investment manager.
