What did you enjoy most about your degree programme?

As an apprentice, working full-time whilst studying at the university, I found it very rewarding to work alongside other apprentices from different sponsoring organisations. Every student on the programme had the own unique work experiences that they were able to draw from and contribute to university lectures and workshops. I found this made an engaging learning environment and it was always interesting to hear different perspectives on the content being discussed.

Some of the students we are profiling have been awarded a departmental prize or award in recognition of their exceptional achievements. If this applies to you, please can you tell us about this and what it means to you?

For both my penultimate and final years, I received multiple formal commendations from my College and the Dean. Additionally, I was awarded “Digital and Technology Solutions Stage 4 Prize” at the completion of my degree, which was awarded for achieving the highest marks within the degree programme.

What was the highlight of your time at Exeter?

The people I’ve met here, the friends and also people I’ve worked with throughout my course. It’s cliché, but the people definitely made it the brilliant experience it was!

What will you miss the most about University?

The location! I thought the city was great and a luxury to be so close to the coast!

What advice would you give to current and future students? (If you are an international student what would you like to tell future students from back home who might be thinking about applying to study in Exeter?)

I think Exeter is a great place to go to university, my experience was hugely positive and it has helped me achieve some things I’m really passionate about – most important, enjoy your time here!

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I have recently started a new job within a cyber-security firm. I am very excited to continue to develop within an important, growing, and fast-changing industry.
