What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

After graduating I started working in London for a UK Fintech issuing business loans (iwoca ltd) working on onboarding and credit risk assessment. After iwoca I wanted more challenge and international exposure, I was hunted to be hired at Checkout.com as a Onboarding analyst, working on Anti-money laundering directives and ensuring the business is protected against fraud. In January 2020 I was offered a Team Lead role in Paris to pilot and orchestrate European operations in France. I enjoy what I do, I get to work with colleagues from all around the world on different topics such a Brexit and helping emerging markets.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I believe technology is the future of banking and wanted to work in an modern environment. I enjoy working on complex issues, and collaborate with brilliant people to find pragmatic, impactful and effective solutions.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was a member of Exeter Climbing Club and loved it.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

The programme and teachers were amazing. I loved the flexibility and availability of teachers.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

I believe Exeter provided an amazing environment and high quality education.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

I decided to study in Exeter because the ranking and international exposure.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Skills : multicultural awareness, operations, language.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Stay open and flexible because you will move companies and maybe change career path at some point in your life. Keep in mind you need to enjoy what you do, accept failure, embrace change and develop your network!

What are your plans for the future?

Continue to support technology and finance through work, develop my climbing skills, continue to travel.
