What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

Since leaving Exeter, I joined the graduate rotation program at MJ Hudson, an asset management consultant. After 6 months, I was offered a permanent position as an analyst in the Investment Advisory team

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I chose this career as I get really good client exposure early on, and I am able to work on new and exciting projects all the time. I enjoy working on strategic asset allocations and investment due diligence, where I contribute to advising institutional clients on how to optimise their portfolio and which funds to invest in.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was a member of BFS society and took part in the Bloomberg Investment Challenge.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

The thing I enjoyed most about MSc FAFM was how applicable the course was to real life, it wasn’t just learning theory, I was learning techniques and developing skills that I use every day in my current role.

Finance in Motion. After Exeter, I completed a masters in Economics and Policy of Energy and Environment at UCL. I then worked at BNP Paribas for one year in London, on their Global Markets Graduate Scheme. After a year of that, I found a job in Frankfurt, where I finance renewable energy projects in Balkans, Caucasus, MENA and Ukraine. The fund is around EUR 1bn in size, and is a mix between a development and private finance institution.
