What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I continue as Lecturer in Medicine and run a research laboratory within the University of Exeter Medical School.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

It is my scientific training and discoveries. I enjoy my daily work on research and teaching.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

Teaching styles.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

Good reputation of the university.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Education skills, and research collaboration etc.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Think about your existing experience and skill set. Consider prospective careers and employment opportunities. Think about what subjects interest you. Talk to your employer, colleagues or peers about which courses are relevant and may improve your career.

What are your plans for the future?

Work hard, get more research funding, make more scientific discovery etc.
