What did you enjoy most about your degree programme?

I enjoyed the diversity in modules available and the high level of expertise that the faculty staff have to offer. I felt encouraged to explore new thoughts and to develop new ideas further.

Some of the students we are profiling have been awarded a departmental prize or award in recognition of their exceptional achievements. If this applies to you, please can you tell us about this and what it means to you?

I received the International Law Prize 2022/2023 for highest overall grade. I was very happy to receive the award and it was a nice surprise.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was a member of the Human Rights and Democracy Forum

What was the highlight of your time at Exeter?

It is very difficult to narrow down my experiences at Exeter because they have all been so positive however I can confidently say working on my masters dissertation was the highlight of my time at Exeter. I explored a new topic and was encouraged to expand my understanding of law into areas I didn’t even know existed at the time.

What will you miss the most about University?

I will miss the positive atmosphere on the Streatham campus and all of the fantastic cafes. I will miss being in an inspiring environment where there are opportunities to develop yourself.

What advice would you give to current and future students? (If you are an international student what would you like to tell future students from back home who might be thinking about applying to study in Exeter?)

My advice to current and future students is find something you enjoy, to work as hard as you can and to make sure that you enjoy your time as a student. Another piece of advice I would give is to really engage with the academic staff available to you. They all have a wealth of experience and knowledge which you should take advantage of during your time as a student and being able to learn from others in my opinion is what make universities such special environments.

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

My current plans are to continue my academic progression and to undertake a PhD.
