What did you enjoy most about your degree programme?

During my studies I particularly enjoyed the freedom in my final year of being able to choose my modules. I think this was a great addition to the core modules as it allowed me to explore the different areas of physics I enjoyed learning about the most.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

Vice President of Physics society 2022/23

What was the highlight of your time at Exeter?

The highlight of my studies at Exeter has been lab sessions working with new technology to research a variety of topics. In particular I loved getting to see the science in action during my final project which involved designing and building a wind turbine and testing it in the on-campus wind tunnel!

What will you miss the most about University?

I will miss the community aspect of Exeter the most once I graduate. The University overall has this really friendly and welcoming atmosphere and this is even more present within the Physics department. I found myself rarely feeling alone as I knew there was always a student or member of staff I could speak to about anything.

What advice would you give to current and future students? (If you are an international student what would you like to tell future students from back home who might be thinking about applying to study in Exeter?)

Don’t be afraid to reach out! This applies to your friends on a social level or lecturers in an academic setting! There’s always someone who can help you if you take the time to look!

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I’m going to take some time off and go travelling around Asia!
