What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

1. Postgraduate coordinator for Master & PhD in Education (TESL) at Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur ( FSSH UTM KL) Malaysia.

2. Research work : Newton – Ungku Omar Research Grant (2017-20190, mobile language learning research (2016- now).

3. Lecturing all Education & English proficiency courses at UTM KL to undergraduates & postgraduates.

4. Consultation & research work with McDonald’s Malaysia for their human resource training.

5. Teaching using new technologies for English language teachers for secondary schools teachers in Kuala Lumpur & teacher trainees in teacher trainee colleges in Kuala Lumpur.

6. Marketing postgraduates programmes offered in FSSH, UTM KL.

7. Supervising Master & PhD students.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

Being able to contribute to knowledge and give back to my society & country.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

1. Supervised by Prof. Rupert Wegerif.

2. Attended all my MSc classes, I learnt a lot from all my lecturers and my classmates.

3. All my lecturers in University of Exeter are very humble, kind, friendly & knowledgeable.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

The lecturers, beautiful campus, beautiful city, safe surrounding.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

The quality of the education, beautiful campus, safe surrounding.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Be a resourceful person. When there are problems, don’t be a complainer, be a problem solver. Always have positive and growth mindset.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Never give up. Appreciate every moments that you have although they give you bad experience. Learn from the bad experience and your mistakes so that you can improve yourself.

What are your plans for the future?

I honestly hope that I could go back to Exeter and work as a lecturer there. I truly miss Exeter.
