What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

After completing my MA in Finance & Investment, I had to fulfil my military obligation. I started my career as a Product Manager for mortgages in a real estate company for 1.5 years. Later on I joined as a Credit Controller a national Aquaculture Company for 5 years. I moved to Sara Lee an FMCG Company (coffee) to serve as Credit Controller in a multinational Company. After spending 5 years in Finance and the merge that formed Jacobs Douwe Egberts, a multinational company listed in AMX, i turned my career path to sales, where i still serve as Key Account Manager.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I have dreamt of being part of a dynamic team in a company, offering consumers goods. Food industry has been ideal. Finance had been my 1st option and i am glad i had the chance to see different aspects in demanding reporting environments and goal settings. However, I realised a turn was needed and i decided to become more extrovert, joining sales team.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

I mostly enjoyed the blending with people form all over the globe. It is nice to see how different cultures perceives differently the same courses.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

It is a beautiful, peaceful city that is getting vivid by its students. Ideal both for studying and having fun.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

I liked the programme and it modules. Also took into account recommendations form friends studied there before me.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Analytical thinking, quick problem solving, ownership, entrepreneurship, solidarity, agility, active listening

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Be open to getting of your box, because you never know when this opportunity will come.

What are your plans for the future?

Participate in more international projects, pursuing a more international, central role in sales.
