Poojith Mashetty
Current Employer/Organisation Name
Sarvanta private limited and Lakshmi Vallabha Industries
What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?
I created a company, Sarvanta private limited, to venture areas which people usually ignore and generate income using that, all while trying to be as sustainable as possible; I had installed an industrial level solar project in our rice mill, Lakshmi Vallabha industries, and we’re also going to launch a premium rice brand in India called Vakula Rice. We expect it to be exported to other countries, including the UK, in the next year.
Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?
Already having a family business was the key reason and trying to change it to make it sustainable while not losing the quality of the process of making rice.
What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?
Be cautious about what you do and what you want to pursue in your career after your course. Also have a little fun while doing your course.
What are your plans for the future?
Create more businesses which are sustainable and profitable.
