What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

Since leaving Exeter, I joined a small scientific supplies company as a sales rep, then grew with the expanding company for 10 years to the senior management team. Then joined a new company as co owner and director.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I enjoyed the sales and benefits it bought along with speaking with customers to help achieve their goals.

Biosoc, Kartingsoc, UoE Officer Trainer Corps

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

Learning about the world of science and learning how to learn and take responsibility for your research.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

Meeting and forming an incredible group of life long friends.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

A manageable sized green campus, close to the city centre, with good rankings.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Collobrating with people, taking full responsibility for oneself and growing in confidence. Learning how to learn, and get stuff done.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Think big, then bigger then even bigger… the limit is what you set yourself. Commit to being a master of in your area of expertise and then expand into new areas. Always keep reading and learning to better yourself.

What are your plans for the future?

Rapidly growing my own company to make a positive impact in the industry. Learning and investing time and effort into new ventures. Spending time with family and friends.
