What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I returned to work at SSRU. I am an Assistant Professor of English Programme at the Faculty of Education.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I love teaching and passionate to make changes in teaching and learning English in Thailand.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

The programme has gained a reputation and our professors showed empathy with international students. The uni always supported me on both personal and academic life.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

I enjoy working part-time as a Bilingual Support Worker with Babcock LDP and an interpreter with Mulilingua Devon. Both organisations provided me with insight into language learning and education. It fulfilled my dissertation in relation to bilingual teacher education development.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

I chose Exeter because of its reputation and programme of interest (TESOL)

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Research skills

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

He/she should conduct, present and publish research before they graduate. During my time, this was not compulsory. To pursue a teaching career at a higher education level now, publication is a requirement. I would recommend the program should encourage more collaborative research between the students and thier supervisors.

What are your plans for the future?

Next year (2024), I will apply for another Fulbright Programme which is Scholar in Residency after completing Fulbright’s Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Programme (2021/2022). I would like to teach abroad.
