What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I have been working for my family business. My company is a manufacturer and exporter of machinery for plastic packaging. We export on a global scale.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

Since completing school I always wanted to work with my father in growing my family business. I believe coming to Exeter and earning a Business degree from one of the most reputed universities will help me in achieving growth for my family business. I enjoy the global aspect the most about my work. The fact that we market and sell our machinery on a global scale to clients in various different countries is something I enjoy a lot.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was a part of Asian Society.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

The whole experience was amazing. I was able to meet and interact with so many people and of so many diverse nationalities. The education and the learnings that I have received will help me throughout my life. The teachers were also highly qualified and were always open to discussions, which really opened my way of thinking to new possibilities.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

The whole experience, from the social experience with the amazing friendships I was able to cultivate to the high quality education I received.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

There were multiple factors: 1. The course was just the right fit for me. 2. The high reputation and ranking of the business school 3. The area where Exeter is situated in and the amazing campus and campus life. All these 3 played an important role while making my decision to study at Exeter.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

My skill to strategize and think out of the box have helped me form new competitive strategies to grow my company. The skill gained to understand finance properly have helped me excel in the world of investing. The whole exposure to how one can systematize certain processes in the business has also helped me in my work for my company.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

If you have a family business and want to pursue that as your career after uni then the best advice it could give you is Learn , Learn , Learn. Try to gain exposure to as many business areas as you can.

What are your plans for the future?

My goal is to build my business and take it to new heights.
