What did you enjoy most about your degree programme?

Being able to study alongside others who were passionate about the field. Learning about new and innovate ways the skills we learnt during the program could be applied to the real world.

Some of the students we are profiling have been awarded a departmental prize or award in recognition of their exceptional achievements. If this applies to you, please can you tell us about this and what it means to you?

The final year project provides an opportunity to demonstrate both the technical abilities and report writing at a level which is rewarding in its difficulty. The particular topic I explored presented many hurdles and required continual refinement, but the end result was something I was proud of and thought showcased the effort I put in.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

Computer Science Society 2016-2018.

What was the highlight of your time at Exeter?

Academically, it has to be several Machine Learning based modules. Socially, it was the routine trips to the Old Firehouse pub quiz on a Monday!

What will you miss the most about University?

Being in an environment where it is easy to access new information and learn from experts in their respective fields.

What advice would you give to current and future students? (If you are an international student what would you like to tell future students from back home who might be thinking about applying to study in Exeter?)

Go to the societies that interest you and get involved in the committees, it’s an experience.

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I am fortunate enough to report that I have started my first full-time job in London (far less trees!), working as a Software Engineer. It has been a great first week and I’m thankful of the skills I’ve learned up at the University of Exeter.
