What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

Working as an Intern in a Law firm, a Barista at One Half Coffee, doing my Masters + SQE, and currently doing in Internship at SLB.

Why did you choose this career? And what do you enjoy most about your work?

I chose this career since the age of 14 as having both parents with a law background impacted my decision. However, it was purely my choice to choose law. My parents made law seem fun instead of a hard and tedious career to get into.

I enjoy doing law as it not only tests my legal skills on a daily basis from basic transactions to complex contracts but it has helped me view things in terms of mindset differently and the way I present myself to people.

Please tell us if you were a member of any societies, groups or sports clubs?

I was part of Law Society, Malaysian Society, and Entrepreneurship Society.

What did you enjoy most about your programme and what was the biggest highlight?

Being able to connect with people from different backgrounds through my law programme.

My biggest highlight was graduating and also spending Christmas with my roommates when I did not have anyone else in the country.

What did you most enjoy about studying here?

The people, location, safety, the help I received, greenery, and a little piece of everything in a small town.

Why did you choose to study at Exeter?

Reputation and location.

What skills and experiences have been most useful for your career?

Being fair, logical, responsible and being able to remain calm in stress times.

The reputation of University of Exeter does attract a lot of companies in Malaysia.

What advice would you give to a current student who wishes to pursue your career?

Follow your heart. Once you commit to a path, stick to it and achieve it. Believe in yourself; the fact that you have come so far should mean that you belong here.

What are your plans for the future?

Potentially branch out into Europe if possible to get a corporate job.
